First day of #SouManaus 2023 will have David Guetta and 22 more musical attractions

Manaus City Hall opens, this Tuesday (5), the “#SouManaus Passo a Paço 2023”, with David Guetta, the biggest name in electronic music in the world, in addition to four other national attractions, and 22 local musical performances, in this first day. The event is free and takes place in the historic center of Manaus on the 5th, 6th and 7th of September.

On the first day, on the Bradesco – Guardian of the Amazon stage, Léo Magalhães, Zé Felipe and Virgínia, and David Guetta will perform. Among the local attractions are John Cavalcante, George Japa, Uendel Pinheiro and DJ Aline Rocha. On the Amazon stage, performances will be by Humberto Gessinger and Murilo Huff, in addition to local artists such as DJ Ariana Paes, Johnny Jack Mesclado, Official 80, DJ May Seven and Tome Xote. On the Coreto stage, DJ Noelle, Félix Aranha, DJ Noelle, Dani Sá, Natty dos Anjos, Strangers Hard Rock, 3 Gatos Pingados, and Antônio Bahia play.

According to the CEO of Manauscult, Osvaldo Cardoso, #SouManaus is already the largest integrated arts event in the North region and is on its way to becoming one of the most important in Latin America.

“We are following the guidelines of Mayor David Almeida, who determined that this will be the biggest edition of all time and it is from here to bigger, always making the festival grow, because Manaus deserves the best, and with that we are strengthening our culture, tourism and the local economy”,

said Osvaldo.

More than 150,000 people are expected per day in this edition of #SouManaus and the public will have a range of cultural entertainment options that go beyond musical attractions, with gastronomic, urban, gamer spaces, theatrical presentations, circus, stand up comedy, parkour, and conversation circles.

In this edition, Manaus City Hall increased the number of local artists by more than 580% compared to the first edition, in 2015, where only 12 local artists were involved. In all, the event features 77 regional musical artists, and will benefit more than 600 local culture workers, more than 160 event scenography workers, 75 artisans, and 200 food handlers, generating more than 5,000 direct and indirect jobs in the preparation and operation of the event.
