Tjap plenum grants the title of president emeritus to retired judge Dôglas Evangelista – News of Brazil

During the first administrative session of 2023, the president of the Court of Justice of Amapá, judge Rommel Araújo, proposed the creation of the title of president emeritus of Tjap. The proposal, approved by the collegiate, conferred the title to the retired judge, Dôglas Evangelista Ramos, the first to preside over the Judiciary in Amapa. The tribute took place this Wednesday, the 25th, when the 32nd anniversary of the installation of Justice in the state of Amapá and the inauguration of the first judges of the Tjap were completed.
“As the first president of this Court, Judge Dôglas Evangelista gave us a lot of guidance on how to continue in the judiciary. He is living history, an example of experience, generosity, humility and, above all, a fraternal friend”, highlighted Judge Rommel Araújo.
The title delivery ceremony will have a date set later. “Although there is still no formality for delivering the title, I already invite you to participate with us in the inauguration of the new leaders as the first president emeritus of this Court”, concluded the president.
Judge Dôglas Evangelista Ramos
Born on November 12, 1943, in the municipality of Barreiras (BA), Dôglas Evangelista Ramos was one of the seven magistrates sworn in by the then governor Annibal Barcellos, in the position of judge. He was the first to preside over the newly installed Judiciary of Amapá.
Despite taking office in the court ruling in 1991, the magistrate’s history with Amapá began in 1983, when he arrived in the then Federal Territory of Amapá, to work in the 1st Judiciary District of Macapá-AP, where he accumulated several functions, including that of Judge of Law of the Judicial Circumscriptions of Mazagão, Amapá, Oiapoque and Calçoene.
In his career in the Judiciary of Amapa, he served as President, Vice-President and Corregidor of the TJAP, President and Corregidor of the TRE/AP, Director of the Judicial School of Amapá (EJAP), President of the Association of Magistrates of Amapá (Amaap), in addition to teaching in higher education institutions. In 2013, after ten years as a magistrate and 22 years after a court ruling, he retired with a feeling of accomplishment.
