The Bahia Court of Justice leaked on its website a series of sensitive data from state judges and judges.
The data were contained in spreadsheets hosted on the Court of Justice’s portal that contained the residential addresses, telephone numbers, in addition to the RG and CPF numbers of hundreds of magistrates, including those who are active, retirees and pensioners.
The spreadsheets with the information were deleted from the website on Wednesday night (29), after complaints from magistrates and a request for action from Amab (Association of Magistrates of Bahia). When contacted, the Court of Justice did not rule on the case.
The magistrates’ assessment is that the disclosure of confidential information represents a risk for judges and judges and their families, in addition to leaving them at the mercy of fraud.
In a note sent to SheetAmab reported that it had submitted requests to the Internal Affairs Department of Justice and the Internal Affairs Department requesting an investigation into the leak.
The requests are signed by the president of Amab, judge Julio Travessa, and by the vice president, judge Eldsamir Mascarenhas.
The association classified the fact as “extremely serious” and said that the leak of information represents a violation of the General Data Protection Act, which could result in the liability of the agents involved.
The entity also highlighted that the CNJ (National Council of Justice) has already determined, through resolutions, compliance with the General Data Protection Law for both judicial and extrajudicial matters.
