Manaus (AM) — State Deputy Thiago Abrahim (União Brasil) presented, this Tuesday (27th), Bill No. 537 that grants people with disabilities the right to use adapted communication and IT equipment in public agencies in Amazonas.
“The bill in question guarantees the protection and social integration of people with disabilities in Amazonas. We need affirmative policies aimed at the universal values of citizenship and human rights, in which the State, in all its spheres, sets an example and encourages a posture of conscience, providing everyone with full use of the means of communication and information technology”, Abraham explained.

“It is important that the inclusion of people with disabilities is present in everyday life. It is necessary that they have an adequate work environment and that it exceeds their limitations. This bill aims to implement the right already conquered by the person with disability. The public service has an obligation to provide the means to assist them, so that they can carry out their work activities. I, as a representative of the people, have the duty to monitor and fight for this right to be ensured.”
