The warm climate, the reduction in household debt and greater consumer confidence make this year-end a promising time for the commercial sector, especially for food. The heat wave is expected to boost drink sales and attract more customers to bars and restaurants with outdoor spaces. This is an analysis by João Ricardo Tonin, economist at FoodCo.
According to data from the CNC (National Confederation of Commerce in Goods, Services and Tourism), sales volume during the Christmas period should reach the mark of R$69 million, growth of 5.6% compared to last year.
The economist explains that food establishments must prepare to receive greater movement and take advantage of the promising scenario at the end of the year. Extending opening hours, offering table reservations, intensifying your presence on social media, investing in Christmas decorations and preparing exclusive dishes for the season are some measures that can help bars and restaurants increase their revenue during the period.
“I wish you an exceptional Christmas, filled with light, joy and the achievement of your goals. May this special day mark the beginning of a promising and fulfilling 2024”, concludes Tonin.
