I’m still in doubt if the players signed by Botafogo before the Brasileirão were already very good and we didn’t know, because they weren’t glamorized by the media, or if their performances are punctual, surprising and, probably, wouldn’t be repeated if they had gone to other clubs . Botafogo, 12 points ahead of second place after the 15th round, is a phenomenon, as the expectation was that the team would be in the middle of the table.

As Botafogo is a team that doesn’t put on a show, that generally doesn’t have a huge superiority over the opponents, that wins many matches balanced in the details, it is feared that what is currently happening with Palmeiras will happen to them.

The drop in the number of good results for Palmeiras has not been so much because of a decrease in performance. The main reason is the small technical difference between the teams.
