Tarcísio’s option for Memorial generates a fight in Bolsonarism – 02/04/2023 – Panel

The choice of Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) by Pedro Mastrobuono to take over the direction of the Memorial da América Latina generated a dispute between components of the so-called cultural Bolsonarism, of which the lawyer is a part.
Former president of the Brazilian Institute of Museums, a body linked to the Ministry of Tourism, Mastrobuono decided to take Lucas Jordão Cunha, former head of the Rouanet Law in the last months of the term of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), to his team.
However, Felipe Carmona, former secretary of the federal government’s copyright area and a trusted man of Mário Frias (PL-SP), had been articulating since the end of last year to direct the Memorial da América Latina. He has complained to allies that this was known throughout the group and that he felt he had been crossed in his project by Mastrobuono.
Carmona may still be relocated to another post under the Tarcísio de Freitas administration, possibly in the Women’s Secretariat, commanded by Sonaira Fernandes.
