Suframa gets to know projects developed by CITS within the Industry 4.0 Priority Program

Manaus (AM) – This Monday (27), Suframa learned about the projects carried out by the International Center for Software Technology (CITS), as a base model for the development of the Priority Program for Industry 4.0 and Industrial Modernization. The technical visit took place at the Manaus unit, located on Avenida Açaí, in the Industrial District, South Zone, and was coordinated by the superintendent of the Municipality, Bosco Saraiva.

An institution that integrates teaching, research, development and business in the area of ​​Information Technology, CITS was created just over 30 years ago and is accredited to carry out Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) projects, based on incentives from the Law of IT (Cati and Capda) and Padis. The other unit operates in the city of Curitiba.

In the Manaus Free Trade Zone (ZFM), the area of ​​activity began in 2009 and today covers the Western Amazon and the State of Amapá, with work that prioritizes innovation in management, training and development projects for new businesses, in addition to those based in the needs of investing companies and ecosystem development for Industry 4.0.

As a Research Institute, CITS presented the “Educational Table” project, a technology that enables innovative and inclusive pedagogical practice, in addition to encouraging the physical, intellectual, psychological and social development of children.

“CITS has carried out work that reaches not only the Manaus area and the Metropolitan Region of the city, but also several municipalities in the interior of the State, with training or professional training projects and others, which are in line with the Industrial Development plan of the Federal Government and the new reality of what is intended in terms of development, innovation and sustainability for our region”,

highlighted superintendent Bosco Saraiva, who was accompanied on the visit by deputy superintendents Waldenir Vieira (Development and Technological Innovation), Leopoldo Montenegro (Projects) and the coordinator of Technological Articulation, Ygor Thomé.

Priority Program

In relation to the Priority Program, CITS has 174 RD&I projects that use enabling technologies for the Industrial modernization of companies in the Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM).

The delegation was received by Frederico Augusto Lacerda, who is president of the CITS Board of Directors, Marilda Packer (Executive coordinator), Vania Vial (New Business), Alberjan Pinto (senior Project manager and coordinator of the Industry 4.0 and Modernization Priority Program Industrial) and by the CITS Digital Transformation Center.
