Alckmin confirmed that he will return to Manaus to sign the management contract for the Amazon Biobusiness Center

Manaus (AM) – Accompanied by technicians from the Autarchy, the superintendent of Suframa, Bosco Saraiva, is in Brasília to fulfill an agenda of meetings with the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC), of interest to the Manaus Free Trade Zone (ZFM). On Tuesday (13), he was received by the vice president and minister of the portfolio, Geraldo Alckmin, to address issues such as Ordinance number 9835/2022, land tenure regularization in Autarchy lands and the new Amazon Biobusiness Center (CBA).

Regarding Ordinance number 9835/2022, which creates new procedures for monitoring and supervising the research and development activities of ZFM IT companies, it was agreed that adjustments will be made to the text by technicians from Suframa and the MDIC itself. The work is expected to be completed within 45 days and shared with actors in the ecosystem formed by companies benefiting from the Information Technology Law, in addition to public and private scientific and technological institutions. .

With regard to land regularization, Suframa maintains an agenda of meetings with the state and municipal governments in order to guarantee security and prevent new irregular occupations in areas of Manaus such as the Coliseu, Raio de Sol, Canaã and Nova Canaã communities, and in those located in the municipality of Rio Preto da Eva (70 kilometers from Manaus).

Geraldo Alckmin confirmed that he will return to Manaus next July to sign the CBA management contract, which gained legal status at the beginning of last month, and the inauguration of the Manaus Industrial Microdistrict (Dimicro).

The inauguration of Dimicro will be carried out jointly between Suframa and the Municipality of Manaus. The delivery of the complex (structured and licensed) is scheduled for the first half of July and will function as an incubator that will house 29 micro-industries in standardized warehouses, in a complex located next to the Coliseu community, in the Brasileirinho branch, Jorge Teixeira neighborhood, East Zone . The expectation is that the space will generate more than 400 direct jobs.

According to the minister, the meeting in Brasilia and all the initiatives announced are part of a larger context, represented by Brazil’s neo-industrialization project, which also encompasses the future of the Amazon and its sustainable development policies.

“Very productive work meeting with Superintendent Bosco Saraiva. President Lula is determined to boost the northern region of Brazil with structuring projects that generate jobs and income, respecting nature, dialoguing with all levels of government and rebuilding our country’s credentials as an environmental power”,

wrote the minister on social media.
