Street race starts the festivities for the 265 years of Macapá this Saturday, 4 – News of Brazil

More than 2,000 runners participated. This is the first edition after two years without celebrations because of the pandemic
Around 5 am this Saturday (4), athletes enrolled in the “Race of the Street Macapá 265 Years” began to gather in front of the Central Market for another edition promoted by the City Hall of Macapá (PMM). More than two thousand people were accredited to participate. Everyone received an official t-shirt, a medal and fruits. The Municipal Culture Foundation (Fumcult) was responsible for the organization.
The route was seven kilometers. It started at Rua Cândido Mendes and continued along Rua Antônio Coelho de Carvalho, São José, Travessa Maracá, Beira Rio, Rotatória do Araxá, Jovino Dinoá, Avenida Coaracy Nunes, returning to the Central Market, through Rua do Comércio.
The race provided joy, adrenaline and fun to the public and well-being. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends the practice of moderate physical activity at least two and a half hours a week or 75 minutes of intense activity.
