Expected for this Wednesday (15), the analysis of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) on the court decision that favored former prosecutor and federal deputy Deltan Dallagnol (Podemos) in the case of daily rates and tickets for Lava Jato, again, did not enter the court’s agenda.

It is the second time that the STJ has postponed the analysis of the injunction, since the matter has been on the Special Court’s list since February 1st. On the occasion, the court passed the analysis to the session this Wednesday (15), but the process ended up being postponed again. The topic may be on the agenda for the next March 1st, in a normal session, or on March 15th, in an extraordinary session scheduled by the court with the aim of analyzing the pending agendas of the last sessions.

The request for annulment of the sentence favorable to Dallagnol is from the Attorney General’s Office (AGU). The injunction was granted in December 2022, by federal judge Augusto César Pansini Gonçalves, from the 6th Federal Court of Curitiba. With the decision, the judgment of the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) that condemned Dallagnol to the payment of R$ 2.8 million used during the task force to cover the travel expenses of the prosecutors was annulled and the administrative process that was being processed in the TCU stopped.

The analysis of the STJ may or may not reverse the decision of the Federal Court of Paraná. If it is favorable to the AGU’s request, the administrative process at the TCU will follow the procedure. If not, the proceedings against Dallagnol at the TCU remain suspended until the final judgment of the case.
