If the TSE makes Bolsonaro ineligible, his project to run for Mayor of Rio will go up in smoke. To keep the family’s political brand alive, the solution would be to launch the name of their son Flávio, senator for Rio de Janeiro.

It would be a win-win game, because if he didn’t get elected, he would return for another two years as senator.

The problem is that, if Flávio wins, the Senate seat will go to his alternate, businessman Paulo Marinho.

During the 2018 campaign, Marinho was an impeccable host, giving up his home in Jardim Botânico to serve as the captain’s headquarters. Elected, Bolsonaro proved to be an ungrateful guest and walked away from him.

The strength of military leaders

The drowsiness of Army unit commanders during the coup attacks on January 8 justifies the desire for them to be transferred.

This can be done in two ways.

The first is prompt action, with immediate removal based on a justified but political outcry.
In the second, the dust is expected to settle. A few weeks, not a few months.
