The Federal Supreme Court (STF) formed a majority this Thursday (27) to make defendants over 200 denounced by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) for alleged participation in the acts of January 8, in Brasília. So far the score is 6-0.

On Tuesday (25), Minister Alexandre de Moraes, rapporteur for the investigations, voted to accept the complaints presented by the PGR. The understanding of the rapporteur was accompanied by ministers Dias Toffoli, Edson Fachin, Cármen Lúcia, Luiz Fux and Luís Roberto Barroso. The votes of the president of the Court, Rosa Weber, and ministers Gilmar Mendes, Nunes Marques and André Mendonça are still missing.

The trial, which takes place in the virtual plenary, began on Tuesday (25) and runs until May 2. The investigations that judge the intellectual authors (4921) and the executors (4922) of the acts of vandalism that resulted in the invasion and depredation of the headquarters of the Three Powers are being analyzed.

On Monday (24), the ministers concluded the analysis of the first wave of complaints and, by majority vote, decided to make 100 defendants defendants. Starting next Wednesday (3), the Court will judge another 250 people denounced by the PGR.
