The fan who called Vini Jr a monkey during a Real Madrid game against Mallorca on the 5th was identified this weekend by police authorities in Spain.
The assailant is a 20-year-old man, a partner in Mallorca and with no criminal record. He is free, but will be denounced to Justice for a hate crime. Punishments in the sporting sphere will also be offered, such as a fine of 3,000 euros (R$ 16,600, approximately) and a minimum ban on attending stadiums in the country for six months.
“Vinicius, monkey. You’re a p*** monkey” was the cry caught by a transmission camera from the streaming service DAZN during Mallorca’s 1-0 victory over Real Madrid, at the Son Moix stadium, on 5 February, for the Spanish Championship.
The available images have been analyzed in recent weeks by agents of the Spanish Citizen Security Brigade and Drone Unit to identify the place where the offenses at the stadium came from and, finally, identify the author of them. The information was initially published by the Spanish newspaper “Ultima Hora”.
According to the investigation, the same fan made racist offenses to another player this Saturday (18), when Mallorca faced Villarreal.
