On the 25th and 26th of March, for the fifth stage of the 2022/23 Mineirinho National Circuit, the Arena da Juventude, in Deodoro-RJ, will receive the CBJJD Brazil and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Master Trophy. Full of attractions, with more than R$ 35,000 to be distributed in prizes and several superfights, the stage will also feature one more important social action.
In all, 30 kimonos will be drawn for five different social projects, with each of them receiving six kimonos. Still according to the organization of CBJJD and FJJD-Rio, the objective is to carry out this and other actions during all stages of the season.
“This initiative to draw kimonos started before the pandemic, since they are a basic need in several social projects, they have a high cost, and now we are returning in partnership with Brazil Combat and Mineirinho”, explained Rogério Gavazza, president of CBJJD, who continued:
“Most of the great teams that are on the Circuit have social projects. In Rio de Janeiro, many are inserted in needy communities, the same happens in São Gonçalo, Baixada Fluminense and in other neighboring cities. The teams will have to prove that they support a social project through contact with our secretary, Bruno Martinelli – Whatsapp (21) 99961 9288 -, and from there the draw will be made among all the registered teams that are able”.
In addition to meeting the needs of students, kimonos can also be used as raffle tickets, for example, to help pay for a trip. For Gavazza, social projects are leveraging the level of national Jiu-Jitsu: “Without a doubt, Jiu-Jitsu has been growing a lot over the last few years throughout Brazil due to the inclusion of the gentle art in projects for needy communities. Today, families already see Jiu-Jitsu not only as a tool for inclusion, but for professional advancement through sport. Many of the champions come from social projects”.
Another highlight of the CBJJD Brazil and Brazilian Master Trophy will be the superfights, this time for Desafio Brasil Master Black Belt, for black belts, and Desafio Brasil Juvenil Blue Belt, for blue belts.
At the end of the season, the champions of the 2022/23 ranking will win tickets to international competitions of the ISBJJA in Europe.
