Institutions invite candidates to enroll
The result of the Unified Selection System (Sisu) waiting list for the selection process for the 2nd half of 2023 was released by the Ministry of Education (MEC) this Monday (10), and can be consulted on the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education, in the part of Sisu.
As of today, candidates who have expressed interest in joining the Sisu waiting list have started to be invited by higher education institutions to enroll or register academically, in vacancies still available after the result of the regular call.
Thus, it is important for candidates to follow the calls for the waiting list with the institution for which they have expressed interest.
It is the candidate’s responsibility to observe the deadlines, procedures and documents required for enrollment or for academic registration, including opening hours and locations defined by the institutions.
Since 2010, Sisu gathers vacancies offered by public institutions of higher education throughout Brazil, which participate in the current selection process, most of which are offered by federal institutions (universities and institutes).
Registration
According to an ordinance published in the Federal Official Gazette (DOU), participating educational institutions must publish, on their electronic pages, the waiting list, by course, shift, place of offer and type of competition.
These institutions must also provide digital means so that students can forward, in digital form, the documentation required for enrollment or academic registration. This measure allows the student to be enrolled without having to travel to the institution for which he was selected.
To learn more about this procedure, the student can contact the institution. For other queries, the MEC customer service number: 0800 61 61 61.
