Registration for those selected in the regular call begins in February
Candidates registered in the 2024 selection process of the Unified Selection System (Sisu) will be able to check the results released by the Ministry of Education (MEC), starting this Tuesday (30), through the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education. Registration closed at 11:59 pm (Brasília time) on Thursday (25).
Registration
Those selected in the regular Sisu call must enroll or register academically at the institution to which they are admitted, between February 1st and 7th. It is up to the candidate to observe the conditions, procedures and documents for enrollment, as well as pay attention to the days, times and places of service defined by each institution, in its own notice.
This edition of Sisu had a single registration stage for the entire year and will offer 264,181 places, in 6,827 undergraduate courses, from 127 public higher education institutions across Brazil. Course vacancies will be offered with classes scheduled to begin in the first and second semesters of 2024, in accordance with the Terms of Adhesion signed by the higher education institutions participating in the selection.
Waiting list
Candidates who are not selected in the regular call may express interest in participating in the waiting list, from January 30th to February 7th, through the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education.
In 2024, the waiting list may be used throughout the year by participating public higher education institutions, to fill vacancies that may not be filled in the regular call.
The procedures for filling vacancies will be defined in a specific notice for each participating institution, in accordance with MEC Normative Ordinance no. 21, 2012, except as provided in art. 2nd of Decree no. 11,781, of November 14, 2023, and in art. 3rd of MEC Ordinance no. 2,027, of November 16, 2023.
Sisu
The Unified Selection System brings together vacancies offered by public higher education institutions throughout Brazil that participate in the current selection process, the majority of which are offered by federal institutions (universities and institutes). Sisu was established by Normative Ordinance no. 2, of January 26, 2010, and is currently regulated by Normative Ordinance no. 21, of November 5, 2012.
