Singer Robinson Monteiro, highlight of “In Concert”, will perform at Teatro Amazonas

A reference in soul and gospel music, Robin Monteiro promises the public a repertoire that will include the most emblematic songs of his career

Manaus (AM) – Singing teacher Robinson Monteiro, one of the highlights of “In Concert”, a show that will take place this Friday (30th), at 8 pm, at Teatro Amazonas, says he is looking forward to the presentation in Manaus. “It is a privilege to be on the stage of Teatro Amazonas, one of the most beautiful spaces in the country”, he said.

Robinson is one of the guests at the event, promoted by Amazonian tenor Miquéias William. The show will also count on the presence of the singers Ketlen Nascimento and Ellen Fernandes, and the participation of Coral Vozes da Compensa and Orquestra Passione.

Robinson, who has already been to Manaus on other occasions, points out that it is always a pleasure to be able to return to perform in the Amazonian capital.

“The public is very receptive. I’ve been to the city at different times in my career as an artist, and I’ve always been well received. I am looking forward and I hope to conduct a beautiful presentation for this special audience”,

Singer Robinson Monteiro became known nationally as “Anjo”, after gaining popularity in 2001, performing on the Raul Gil Program, on SBT. His second solo album, titled “Anjo”, and released by Warner Music, earned the singer the Platinum Record, for selling more than 1.5 million copies.

From lyrical to popular

According to Miquéias William, “In Concert”, already in its fourth edition, has the proposal to promote the meeting of different voices of lyrical and popular singing, in addition to generating opportunities for new talents.

“It is an honor for me to be able to sing alongside artists like Robinson, Ketlen and Ellen, who have different stories in music, but who recognize themselves in making art”,

observed.

The Amazonian singer Ellen Fernandes is strongly influenced by regional music and the modern sound of popular songs. Ketlen Nascimento also mixes regional and Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) in her singing.

The “In Concert”, as Miquéias emphasizes, will provide the public with a differentiated experience. “In the repertoire, there will be songs like ‘O sole mio’, by Eduardo D. Capua, ‘Con te partiró’ and ‘L’abitudine’, by Andrea Bocelli, and ‘Amazônia’, by Ketlen Nascimento”, he said.

Creator of the event, Miquéias William began music studies with teacher Sueli Walcafre, took a vocal technique course in Curitiba with Neyde Thomas and Rio Novello. He also had Professor Benito Maresca as a master, who was one of the greatest tenors in Brazil. Miquéias is part of the Coral do Amazonas and has already been part of great shows.

The Coral Vozes da Compensa, which will also perform at “In Concert”, is part of a social project conceived by Miquéias. It is made up of people selected to receive musical training at no cost, a way of transmitting the culture of lyrical singing, he says. The choir is conducted by Maestro Everaldo Barbosa.
