Show de Bola is one of the teams classified for the quarterfinals of the Under-12 Amazon Cup – News of Brazil

Since the 3rd of July, the Sub-12 Amazon Cup has taken place, organized by the Municipality of Macapá. The event, which brings together 12 teams, reached the quarterfinal stage, which starts this Wednesday (12) and Friday (16). The decision is scheduled for the 20th of July.
The Show de Bola team is one of those qualified for this phase and is under the command of coach Ademir Pitopô, who has been working with children for 14 years. “The Amazon Cup, which is sponsored by the City Hall and Councilor Careca, ended the first phase and we were in first place overall, we didn’t concede a single goal. We are going to play the quarterfinals and we intend to go to the final”he said.
In addition to Show de Bola, teams G7, Bela Vista, Meninos da Vila, Talentus, Futuro Camisa 7, Independente and Marabaixo are in the dispute for the quarterfinals.
The Show de Bola school has been training athletes for 14 years and serves children in the North, South, West, Central and condominium areas. Activities are suspended due to the holidays, but will resume on August 1st.
“We have centers in the Novo Mundo, Reserva dos Jardins, Parque Felicitá, Arena Favela condominiums and we are going to have a place to do high-performance training at the CT in Santos/AP. The school is private, but of a social nature”said Pitopo.
According to him, it all started when a businessman asked him to train his son. “I started out as an employee of the owner of the school, because he wanted me to coach his son. I spent a year as his employee and then he leased the school to me and we started doing work and built a nice business”, he said.
In addition to the Amazon Cup, the athletes from the school will be participating in the Copa Norte Iberleague, in Belém, between the 4th and 10th of September, in the Under-12 and 14 categories, and they need financial support.
