Session with Dino ends after name-calling and arguments – 04/11/2023 – Politics

In a repetition of what happened at the CCJ (Constitution and Justice Commission) session, the audience with the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino, this Tuesday (11) at the Security and Justice Commission of the Chamber of Deputies was marked by a crash -mouth, discussions, interruptions and had to be closed by its president before the end due to disorder.

“If there was that pantomime at the CCJ, it won’t be here”, Sanderson (PL-RS), president of the commission, even said at the beginning of the first discussions. But that was not the case, and the hearing lasted less than two hours.

Among Bolsonarists, deputies such as delegate Éder Mauro (PL-PA), Gilvan da Federa (PL-ES) and Junio ​​Amaral (PL-MG) were some of the protagonists of the discussions. From the base of the government, names like Orlando Silva (PC do B-SP), Duarte (PSB-MA) and Gervásio Maia (PSB-PB) were present.

Amaral even started his questioning of Dino by saying that it was necessary to correct what went wrong in the CCJ, in reference to the discussions. But he continued to criticize the current government base, which, according to him, acted as a “thutchuca against criminal organizations and a tiger against January 8 demonstrators” — which generated discussion.

Deputy Duarte (PSB-MA) also accused Deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) of cursing him when the microphones were off and during one of the various exchanges in the session.

“I vehemently repudiate this unacceptable attitude and total lack of example. I will represent it in the Ethics Council. Respect is the basis of any dialogue”, said Duarte after the audience.

During the meeting, Dino defended the strengthening of the police, criticized the encouragement of ordinary citizens to carry weapons, said he saw no problem with his visit to the Maré community, in Rio de Janeiro, and criticized former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL ).

He stated that his portfolio has intensified the work of monitoring networks that threaten schools. He also added that he will open a public notice for state governments to send projects for school patrols.

“We have platforms that are collaborating a lot, others that are collaborating less than necessary so that there is a moderation of this hateful content, aggression, propagation of violence and apology for violence against children and adolescents”, said the minister, in a session again scheduled for discussion.

The session at the Public Security Commission was closed after a discussion of about five uninterrupted minutes between government and opposition parliamentarians.

“Gentlemen, gentlemen … gentlemen! The session is closed, we will make a new summons”, said Sanderson after less than two hours of hearing.

Afterwards, Dino left the room under shouts of “flee” from opposition deputies.
