On the initiative of Senator Randolfe Rodrigues, the Federal Senate will celebrate, from Monday (11) to Wednesday (13), the 80th anniversary of Amapá. The tribute begins in the Senate Plenary, where, starting at 10 am, the Special Session commemorates the 80th anniversary of the creation of the former federal territory of Amapá, on September 13, 1943.
The session will feature cultural presentations from Amapá – such as the Marabai dance -, in addition to the performance of the National Anthem, the Amapá anthem and the song Jeito Tucuju, presented by Patrícia Bastos and Jhimmy Feiches, accompanied by the Senado Choir and the School Orchestra of Music in Brasília, conducted by Maestro Joaquim França.
After the session, guests will follow the presentation of the group from Maramaior Raízes da Favela, in a procession from the Plenary to the Ivandro Cunha Lima Cultural Space, where the “Amapá Cultural Exhibition” takes place and, next door, in the Senado Gallery, the “Amapá Cultural Exhibition” Amapá Stamp Fair in the Senate”.
With the support of the Government of the State of Amapá and SEBRAE, the exhibition brings together 32 companies from different sectors, with genuinely Amapá products that have the “Amapá Seal” certification seal, which highlights products originating in one of the most preserved states in the world. Amazon. The “Selo Amapá” initiative was sponsored and articulated by the mandate of senator Randolfe Rodrigues. The materials can be viewed by the public until the 13th, Wednesday, at Senado Galeria and Espaço Cultural Ivandro Cunha Lima, from 10am to 7pm.
Also on Wednesday (13), the date on which Amapá turns 80, the vote on PEC nº 7/2018, authored by senator Randolfe Rodrigues, is scheduled to be voted on, which reintegrates approximately 35 thousand civil servants from the former territory into the workforce. of the federal public administration.
Furthermore, from 12pm, at Restaurante dos Senadores, there will be a themed menu in honor of the state. On the menu, the Welcome Drink served will be Pororoca: cupuaçu juice with mint and jambu. For starters, guests will be able to try the Tumucumaque Combo, a quenelle of pirarucu and tapioca cubes with shrimp in taperebá sauce.
The main dish consists of two options: Cunani, baby fillet with pink shrimp and pineapple flambéed in jamburana cachaça served with cassava aligot, rice and straw potatoes, or Pirarucu à Senado, pirarucu fillet in red wine sauce served with plantain, rice with jambu and chestnuts. For dessert, guests will be able to choose between the Mara Baixo Cup or Açaí Tiramisu. The lunch will also feature a performance by singer João Amorim.
On the same day, starting at 7pm, the towers of the National Congress will be lit up in the colors of Amapá. Several images will also be projected, portraying characteristics of the state, with graphics from the Wayana/Apalai, Wajãpi, Galibi Maruworno and Karipuna ethnic groups.
During the week, Amapá will also be the focus of TV and Radio Senado programs, which will show numerous articles in honor of the state’s 80th anniversary, with the participation of personalities from Amapá.
