The tariff on corporate Pix is ​​already practiced by large banks, such as Itaú, Bradesco and the state-owned Banco do Brasil. According to the Central Bank, the rules for pricing Pix have been the same since its launch in 2020, and the possibility of charging PJs has always existed.

This Tuesday (20), the Planalto Palace forced Caixa Econômica Federal to review the decision to start charging a fee for transfers made by companies through Pix. In a press note, Caixa said it suspended Pix’s charge for legal entities.

“The measure aims to extend the period so that customers can adapt and receive broad clarification from the bank on the subject, given the proliferation of untrue content that generated speculation. Caixa’s decision to charge for the service was defined since last year and has not was executed due to the need to adapt the internal systems”, said the public bank.

• Transfer pix: 1.45% of the transaction value, with a minimum of R$ 1.75 and a maximum of R$ 9.60; cost is levied on transactions that exceed the contracted plans, which include 10 to 22 free transactions
• Pix for receipts: 1.3% of the transaction value, without a floor and with a maximum of R$ 150.00 for transactions at machines or static QR code; for dynamic QR code, there is a minimum floor of BRL 1.00
• Pix on boleto: single fee of up to R$ 5.50 per boleto

According to Itaú, transactions via Pix are exempt for MEIs (individual micro-entrepreneurs) and EIs (individual entrepreneurs). The bank also says that there are a number of free transfers in the Itaú Empresas service packages, with a progressive and automatic rate reduction for additional use.

Bank of Brazil

• Transfer pix: fee of 0.99% of the amount sent, with a minimum of R$ 1.00 and a maximum of R$ 10.00
• Pix for receipts via QR Code: fee of 0.99% of the amount received, limited to BRL 140.00

Banco do Brasil states that fees are not charged for MEIs (individual micro-entrepreneurs) and EIs (individual entrepreneurs).

Bradesco

• Pix for receipts via QR Code*: 1.40% of the amount, with a minimum of R$ 0.90 and a maximum of R$ 145.00
• Transfer pix*: 1.40% of the value, with a minimum of R$ 1.65 and a maximum of R$ 9.00
• Pix Withdrawal: R$ 2.50 fee for each pix
• Pix Change: R$ 2.50 fee for each pix

Banrisul

• Pix sending to other institutions: 0.90% of the amount transferred, with a minimum of R$ 0.50 and a maximum of R$ 9.90
• Pix Purchase: fee of 0.90% on the amount received, with a minimum of R$ 0.50 and a maximum of R$ 99.00

According to Banrisul, transfer fees via PIX for legal entity customers who have a registered fee package are exempt, as well as transactions carried out by individuals, individual entrepreneurs and MEIs. PIX transactions between Banrisul accounts are also exempt, regardless of the segment, according to the bank.
