Government extends for 15 days car sale with discount for individuals

The Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC) decided this Tuesday (20) to extend for 15 days the exclusivity for individuals in the purchase of a brand new car with a discount. On the 5th, the federal government launched the cheaper car sales program.
The acting minister and president, Geraldo Alckmin (PSB), signed an ordinance with the extension that should be published later this Tuesday in an extra edition of the Official Gazette (DOU), informed the portfolio. As for the other modalities of the program – purchase of buses and trucks – operations with legal entities are released as of this Wednesday (21).
So far, the ministry has authorized the use of R$ 320 million in tax credits for the sale of discounted cars – equivalent to 64% of the volume of resources made available in this modality. According to the folder, “new requests have arrived at the MDIC, but are still under analysis”.
