The block will perform this Saturday (11) with the Instituto TIM Battery, made up of 50 percussionists with some type of disability, at Praça Xavier de Brito, in Tijuca. Concentration at 8 am.

Praça da Pracinha

The block holds its party this Saturday (11), at Praça Pio XI, in Jardim Botânico. Concentration at 10 am.

Sa Pereira

The children’s block parades this Saturday (11), in Botafogo, at Rua Capistrano de Abreu 20. Meeting at 8 am.

Bottle Block

The parade is this Saturday (11), in Botafogo, at Parque General Leandro (behind Rua Lauro Muller 66). Gathering at 4 pm.

Copacabana block

The block cheers up Sunday (12) at Posto 6, near Rua Joaquim Nabuco, in Copacabana. Gathering at 8:30 am.

Wake up and come play

The block parades on Sunday (12), on Rua das Dálias, in Vila Valqueire. Concentration at 9 am.

Giants of the Lyre

The traditional block parades at Praça Jardim Laranjeiras, in Laranjeiras, this Sunday (12). Concentration at 9 am.

samba seeds

The block parades on Sunday (12), on Boulevard Twenty and Eight of September, starting at the Vila Isabel block. Gathering at 4 pm.

Dance at the Botanical Garden

This weekend EcoVilla Ri Happy hosts the Fabulous Carnival Ball, with games, a parade, fun makeup, music and much more. Inside the Jardim Botânico Park (Rua Jardim Botânico 1.008). This Saturday (11), at 3 pm, with tickets from R$ 45.

On the aquarium

This weekend, the aquarium in Rio (Praça Muhammad Ali s/nº, Gamboa) will have Bailinho do Zé Tubarino, the space’s mascot. This Saturday (11) and Sunday (12), the children’s samba school in Portela, Filhos da Águia, presents passistas, master of ceremonies, flag bearers and others. At 10:30 am, in the lobby, with free entry.

Casabloquinho at CCBB

The event is part of the CasaBloco project, but dedicated to the little ones. It takes place this Sunday (12), from 3 pm, at the CCBB (Rua Primeiro de Março, 66), with free admission. The program includes workshops, parade, music and games with Carimbaby. Then there’s Céu na Terra (4pm), continuing the party.

revelry in tijuca

Bloquinho Sem Ribalta holds its party this Sunday (12), starting at 9 am, at Praça Afonso Pena, in Tijuca. With music, parade, storytelling, clowns and other circus attractions, mask workshop and much more. Free of charge, with spontaneous collaboration from the public.

Pontal Museum

This Saturday (11) there is Cortejo das Marchinhas, at 10am, with art educator Beatriz Bessa. First, the little ones will learn the basics of percussion and practice; then they make the procession through the museum. At 4pm, dancer Luan da Silva invites children and adults to try out a carnival dance workshop. On Sunday (12), at 4 pm, there will be the Tigre do Coqueiro block. Entry is free.

The traditional children’s block Gigantes da Lira will hold a dance this Saturday (11th), at 5 pm, at Shopping Downtown (Av. das Américas 500, Barra), with the theme “2020 — Ziriguidum Sidereal na Lira dos Gigantes”. For free.

in Bangu

From today to Sunday (12), at Bangu Shopping (Rua Fonseca 240), the Clubinho de Carnaval promotes an abadá customization workshop, from 3 pm to 7 pm. This Saturday (11) and Sunday (12), from 3 pm to 5 pm, there is also the Carnival Heat, with a traveling band playing marchinhas, children’s recreation, games, costume contests and much more. Entry is free.

in Guadeloupe

Sunday (12), at 3 pm, there is samba with Estrelinha da Mocidade, a youth school from Mocidade, in the food court of Shopping Jardim Guadalupe (Avenida Brasil 22.155). Entry is free.

Bita World in Barra

BarraShopping (Av. das Américas 4666) has its pre-Carnival event this weekend. Today, from 5 pm, with Quizomba (7 pm) among the attractions. This Saturday (11) and Sunday (12), it starts at 2 pm, with Spantosa Battery (Saturday, 7 pm), Mundo Bita (Sunday, 4 pm) and Mulheres de Chico (Sunday, 7 pm) on the schedule. Entry is free.

São Gonçalo Shopping

The schedule at São Gonçalo Shopping (Av. São Gonçalo 100) starts this Saturday (11), with music, recreation and other activities, at 2 pm. At 4:40 pm, a group with Sorriso and Batucando. On Sunday (12), at 2 pm, samba with Trio Alta Resistência. At 4 pm, Sorriso e Batucando makes another procession. All this happens in the food court, for free. On both days, at 6 pm, in Pula Park, the CarnaPet takes place, also with free admission, to take pets (for this, it is necessary to register on the website saogoncaloshopping.com.br).

Patio Alcântara

Pátio Alcântara (Carlos Gianelli Square s/nº) is having a little dance this Saturday (11), from 3:30 pm, through the corridors and in the food court. For free.
