Activity supported by Fapeam will take place from October 17th to 20th at Ufam
Manaus (AM) – With support from the Government of Amazonas, through the Amazonas State Research Support Foundation (Fapeam), the 10th Science and Technology Week of the Institute of Exact Sciences of the Federal University of Amazonas begins on October 17th ( Phew). The event supported by the Science, Technology and Innovation Support Program (POP CT&I), Notice No. 004/2023, continues until October 20th at the university.
Among the event’s activities are short courses, workshops, lectures and the “Science Circuit”, specially designed to disseminate science in schools and to high school and elementary school students. In the Circuit, participants have the opportunity to visit laboratories, museums, participate in mini-workshops and experiments.

According to the event coordinator, Ufam researcher Karla Tribuzy, the Science Circuit provides a practical view of the day-to-day lives of professionals in the areas of Statistics, Physics, Geology, Mathematics and Chemistry.
“We also included stands focused on promoting projects aimed at girls in the areas of exact sciences, developed by Ufam researchers, as well as guests such as the A Casa da Physics project and the Cosmos project”,
highlighted.
In addition to support from Fapeam, the activity has a partnership with institutions such as the Computing Institute (Icomp/Ufam), Social Service of Commerce (Sesc) and Villa Ludos, which will offer activities such as a planetarium, games, technology, learning and fun in the Community Center space in the northern sector of the university.

Fapeam plays a fundamental role as it gives us the necessary support for the promotion and dissemination of scientific and technological research, providing crucial support and partnership in the organization and financing of Sect ICE”,

POP CT&I
The program is a Fapeam initiative, which aims to encourage and support the holding of events to popularize science, in person, virtually or hybrid, primarily in the interior of Amazonas, through financing the production and distribution of educational materials to democratize science. production of knowledge in Science, Technology and Innovation (CT&I), strengthening the State Science and Technology Week (SNCT) and the Amazonas Public CT&I Policy itself.
