Leaders of the Kalunga community, in the municipality of Arraias, denounced the situation to the state Public Ministry. Only three rooms house all classes, from literacy to elementary school. In total, 60 students are squeezed into cramped classrooms. The mother of one of them reports that it is common for classes to take place under a mango tree, due to lack of space. Without a bathroom, the children end up doing their business in the bush.
