The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) released the table of games for the first phase of the U-17 Brazil Cup, which starts next week. There will be 16 matches in the first phase, in a single confrontation to define the qualified for the round of 16.
The representative of Amapá, Santana, faces Sampaio (RR), on March 9, at 5 pm, at the Flamarion Vasconcelos Stadium, in Boa Vista. If Canário do Porto wins, he will play against the winner of the match between Sampaio Correa (MA) or Sant German (RO), on April 26th.
The next phase will have a round-trip format. The 16 qualified face each other in late April and early May. The model continues like this in the quarterfinals and semifinals. The final will be played in a single confrontation on June 18.
Santana won the opportunity to compete in the competition after beating Independente 2×0 in 2022 and winning the state title in the category. Coach Marinaldo Barbosa will be leading the club from Amapá in this dispute.
Previously, the team coach was Isaac Pinheiro, but ceased to be part of Canário after Santana withdrew in this year’s Copinha.
