From 9pm onwards, the groups from access group B will perform
Manaus (AM) – The “Carnival of the Forest 2024” starts this Thursday (1st) at the Sambódromo, located at Avenida Pedro Teixeira, nº 2565, Flores. From 9pm onwards, the groups from access group B will perform; on Friday (2), from 9pm, it is the turn of schools in access group A; and on Saturday (3), on the last night of presentations, the special group’s associations will parade, starting at 8pm.
The City of Manaus, through the Municipal Cultural, Tourism and Events Foundation (Manauscult), supports the presentations with funding, provided for in notice no. 010/2023, of public call for the samba school parade.

There is an entire production chain that involves the parade of all samba schools, ranging from the artisans, the creation of allegories and even the mobilization within the neighborhoods and communities that are represented by these groups. The parade is the conclusion of months of very hard work by the professionals involved and the David Almeida management is committed to contributing to this process that culminates in this beautiful party that mobilizes our city”,
points out Reginei Rodrigues, CEO of Manauscult.
Promotion
Manauscult’s notice no. 010/2023 included 18 associations that will participate in the parade that begins this February 1st: two from access group B, each with funding of R$ 50,345.10; eight more samba schools from access group A, each receiving R$79,112.80; and eight more schools, from the Special group, each receiving R$ 133,052.56. In total, the associations covered received a transfer of R$ 1,798,013.08.
Integrated work
For traffic and transport actions, the Municipal Institute of Urban Mobility (IMMU) will monitor the areas close to the sambadrome, for the samba school parades. The actions include the road closure perimeter, staff and public transport bus lines that will be available until the end of the event, to guarantee safety and fluidity on the roads.
In addition to Manauscult and IMMU, the work will count on the collaboration of several municipal management bodies, such as Casa Militar, City Cooperation Center (CCC), Visa Manaus, Guardianship Council, and the Municipal Health Departments (Semsa); Women, Social Assistance and Citizenship (Semasc); Agriculture, Supply, Center and Commerce (Semacc); Urban Cleaning (Semulsp); Environment and Sustainability (Semmas); and Public Security and Social Defense (Semseg).
