Manaus (AM) – The Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb) tests were administered in state schools, this Wednesday (25), in Manaus. Until November 10th, approximately, 51 thousand students from the state network in the capital must take the assessment. Saeb 2023 follows the national calendar.
In total, more than 100 thousand students, from the 5th and 9th year of Elementary School, and 3rd year of High School, will take the Saeb tests over the next few weeks. In Amazonas, the tests began on October 23rd, in municipalities in the interior of the state. The last Saeb assessment was carried out in 2021. The results are released the following year and produce the main indicators of the quality of basic education in the country.
According to the pedagogical deputy executive secretary of the Department of Education, Arlete Mendonça, the teaching units in the capital and the interior of the country intensified their actions aimed at the exam, given the importance of carrying out the x-ray of Basic Education in the State.
“Since the beginning of the year we have been focused on mobilizing and preparing our students and our entire school community, so we are certain that we will have good results”,
assessed the secretary.
At the Isaac Swerner State School (EE), located in the east of Manaus, at least 375 students took the exam this Monday. The student, Fernanda Biase, 17 years old, told how final year students prepare for the Saeb.
“Here at school we had ‘classes’ and simulations. We know how important Saeb is, because in addition to measuring the school’s level of learning, it measures our personal performance as students, who are undergoing a series of external assessments”,
shared the young woman.
