The President of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Minister Rosa Weber, received this Monday (26) the visit of the President of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, at the headquarters of the Court, in Brasília. Ministers Edson Fachin and Alexandre de Moraes also attended the meeting. The Argentine representative spoke about the functioning of the STF and the Electoral Justice and about the acts of January 8.
“At the meeting, Justice Rosa Weber described to Fernández the state in which the STF headquarters building was left after the anti-democratic acts on the date that was called the ‘day of infamy'”, informed the Court. Fernández told the president of the Supreme Court that the acts had the opposite effect to that intended by the participants and creators.
Earlier, the Argentine president was received by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), who pledged to adopt a plan with “almost 100 actions” to resume the strategic partnership with Argentina. The petista also awarded the national order of Cruzeiro do Sul to Fernández.
