Electrolux ERB20 Home-e Speed ​​The Electrolux ERB20 Home-e Speed ​​is the cheapest robot vacuum cleaner on the list, selling for around R$700 in the online stores researched in November. It is a very basic model: it does not have a base for charging the battery, like the other competitors in the test, nor sophisticated features such as environment mapping with a laser sensor or Wi-Fi. The battery is recharged directly with the charger connected to the product. The fact that it is simple does not mean that it is inefficient. The device cleaned the 40 square meter apartment with just one battery charge. The manufacturer indicates a battery life of 2h20 minutes, which is consistent with the tests. Recharging lasts around 5 hours. The remote control allows you to start and pause the cleaning process, as well as direct the robot manually using navigation arrows. There are only 3 cleaning modes: focus (to clean a specific area), random (goes around without much sense) and zig-zag (back and forth), which cleans the entire house. However, due to the simplicity of the product, it doesn’t know when it has finished cleaning and needs to stop cleaning. Mondial Fast Clean Advanced RB-04 The Mondial Fast Clean Advanced RB-04 is a simple robot vacuum cleaner, but with more features compared to the Electrolux competitor: it comes with a battery charging base and a larger capacity compartment (330 ml ). Mondial cleaning the carpet Henrique Martin/g1 The robot vacuum cleaner is a little taller than the Electrolux one, 8.5 cm high. It got under the sofa, but not other furniture closer to the floor. The app allows you to adjust the level of suction that the vacuum cleaner will have – from weak to strong – and the volume of the alerts. And check if the accessories (filters, brushes, bristles) need to be cleaned or replaced. The manufacturer says the battery lasts 2h20. With the robot vacuum cleaner configured in standard mode (medium suction), the product was able to clean the entire house twice – once as a vacuum cleaner and once as a mop, with a 40% charge remaining (another data from the app). The cleaning process was good. The product has 5 vacuuming modes (zigzag, corners, dedicated environments , specific point and wet cleaning). However, a problem occurred more than once. Every time the Kabum robot climbed onto a carpet (colored, in shades of blue, white, gray and black), it sounded an alert to clean the anti-tip sensors underneath the product.The same error occurred when cleaning the laundry area, which has a black rubberized rug. When removing the carpets, the robot vacuum worked. Reports on the internet report a similar problem with the product. Robot vacuum cleaners with this function pass a dry or damp microfiber cloth around the room — those with a water tank can keep the cloth wet for a long time. The Electrolux and Mondial models, with only a dry cloth, seem to be more of a palliative solution – it is not the same thing as a damp cloth with more water, as happened with the Kabum model, which really cleaned the floor. WHICH RESOURCE SHOULD NOT GIVE UP? Remote control or other type of command (application, voice). And all test models have either a control or an app. CAN YOU LEAVE THE ROBOT ALONE? Yes, but it’s much easier with more expensive devices, which map the environment and have sensors that indicate that cleaning is complete. Among the test products, only Kabum’s can meet these requirements. Others may come across points (such as gaps between walls and furniture or between the legs of small tables) where they cannot get out without “hitting” their “head” a lot, which can mean delays in cleaning and greater battery consumption.
