Manaus (AM) – The deputy and president of the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (Aleam), Roberto Cidade (União Brasil), received majority support from the 23 parliamentarians of the Legislative House to reappoint the position in the 2023-2024 biennium. The consolidation of Cidade’s victory has become even more evident with the support of the Avante bench, made official this Monday (23), for the current president.
With the election of the Board of Directors approaching, scheduled to take place next Wednesday (1), deputies begin to announce their votes, with the name of state deputy Roberto Cidade being the favorite for the presidency.
On social networks, four deputies from Avante published videos in support of the current president of Aleam. One of them was state deputy Abdala Fraxe.
“I am declaring my support for the re-election of our dear deputy Roberto Cidade, as president of the Assembly. I see a good work and may it continue in the next biennium“,
said deputy Abdala Afraxe.
Deputy-elect Daniel Almeida (Avante), brother of Manaus mayor David Almeida (Avante), also declared his vote for Roberto Cidade.
“Hello friends, how are you? I’m here with my cameraman, Deputy Roberto Cidade, a friend and who pledged my vote of confidence for the continuation of the presidency of the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas”,
stated.
In addition to them, first-term deputies Mayra Dias (Avante) and Wanderley Monteiro (Avante) also used social networks to support the candidacy of the current Legislative House representative.
Faced with the favorable scenario for the re-election of Roberto Cidade, the articulations for the other members of the Board of Directors begin to unfold, and names such as the deputy Joana Darc (União Brasil), and the deputy Deputy Afonso (Avante) appear among the most quoted to join the nine positions that direct Aleam’s legislative activities.
Cidade’s tenure as president of the house is marked by a positive evaluation among parliamentarians. The deputy was also the most voted in the 2022 elections, and obtained 105,510 votes from the Amazonians.
