Rio court decrees preventive detention of leaders of organized supporters

The Court of Justice of Rio decreed the temporary arrest for 30 days of four presidents of organized supporters of clubs in Rio de Janeiro. All will answer for the crimes of criminal organization, serious bodily injury and attempted murder.

They are Anderson Azevedo Dias, president of Young Flu; Fabiano de Souza Marques, from Força Jovem do Vasco; Bruno da Silva Paulino, from Torcida Jovem do Flamengo and Anderson Clemente da Silva, president of the Red-Black Race.

“All the necessary requirements are present to support the precautionary custody of the accused, as extracted from the elements collected so far. The seriousness of the crimes committed, the legal interests violated and the lack of value of the conduct allegedly perpetrated by the accused lead to the adoption of energetic measures by part of the Judiciary, and it should be noted that the freedom of those represented can hinder the collection of evidence and, even, put the life or physical integrity of the witnesses at risk”, wrote Judge Ana Beatriz Estrella in the decision of the Judiciary on Monday fair (13).

The inquiry was instituted to investigate and identify the possible authors of the fights between organized before Flamengo x Vasco, for the Guanabara Cup. The initial information was from Ancelmo Gois’ column.

The TJRJ points out that the confusion resulted in the destruction of public and private property, serious bodily injury and death.

In recent days, fans have received subpoenas to provide statements in an investigative procedure aimed at investigating alleged conduct typified as crimes of damage, attempted murder, bodily injury and criminal organization.

Several people called to give testimony claim that they were not even close to Maracanã for the Flamengo x Vasco da Taça Guanabara match.

VIOLENCE IN CLASSIC

Members of organized supporters of Flamengo and Vasco clashed before the classic for the Guanabara Cup. The Military Police suspended Raça e a Jovem, from Flamengo, and Força Jovem, from Vasco, for 90 days. Subsequently, the Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro extended the punishment indefinitely.

Days later, the Military Police put into effect the removal measures that the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rio de Janeiro had determined prior to the discussions of the new conduct adjustment term (TAC), which takes place after the approval of the Bill that provided for the amnesty of organized.

Young Flu, from Fluminense, and Fúria Jovem, from Botafogo, are also prohibited from attending sports squares. The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rio indicated evaluating a request to the Justice for classics with only one supporter. The idea, however, did not gain adherence with other bodies involved in the matches.

The Government of Rio de Janeiro points out that those involved in cheerleading will be classified as a “criminal organization”.
