Most of the documents used on a daily basis have digital versions and some of them are no longer issued on paper. This is because it is possible to keep a good part of them on the cell phone, in applications that have the same value as the paper versions. This is the case of CNH (National Driver’s License) and voter registration, for example. In some situations, the digital version is the only one available. This happens with the CPF (Individual Taxpayer Registration) and the work card, which are no longer issued in printed format. See below seven documents that can be used on the cell phone and learn how to download the applications. 1) CPF The physical CPF card was no longer issued in 2011. Since then, the Federal Revenue has only provided proof of enrollment in the CPF, which have the same validity in printed or digital format. To obtain the proof, the resident needs to enter the Federal Revenue website and enter the CPF number, date of birth, full name, mother’s name and voter registration number. Next, you must inform the Income Tax receipt number and click on “Generate”. This document can be printed or saved on the device. Another option is to download the Federal Revenue application, which also allows you to issue a negative credit certificate, view income tax returns, among others. Here’s how to use it: Download the app from the Play Store or the App Store; Log in with your “gov.br” account – how to open a gov.br account; Click on “CPF Card”. 2) RG (or National Identity Card) The federal government wants to “retire” the RG, which is issued by the states and will be replaced by the National Identity Card (CIN). The new document establishes an issue standard for the entire country, starting to use the CPF as a citizen’s record to curb fraud. CIN has already been made in some states, but most have not fully adapted to the new format. The federal government deadline for everyone to adopt the new document is November 6, 2023. States like São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro have official apps for Android and iPhone. New identity card: see questions and answers about the document 3) Driver’s license The Digital Traffic Card is an electronic version of the CNH and has the same legal value as the printed version. You can download it if your physical driver’s license has a QR Code on the back. Here’s how: Download the Digital Traffic Wallet from the Play Store or the App Store; Log in with your “gov.br” account; Point the cell phone camera at the QR Code on the back of the driver’s license; Take a photo of your face in the application – it will compare it with the photo in the DMV database; Confirm the CEP registered with the Detran of the state where your CNH was issued; If everything is correct, the app will generate your digital CNH. 4) Car Licensing (CRLV) Still in the driver’s license application, it is possible to save the car document and share it with other people who use it. It is the digital Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificate (CRLV). To have the document on your cell phone, just enter the vehicle’s Renavam number, which is at the top left of the car’s physical document, and the security code from the Vehicle Registration Certificate (CRV) in the app. CNH: see questions and answers about the document 5) ConectaSUS Health information, such as proof of vaccination and SUS card, can be accessed in the “Conecte SUS” application, available for Android and iPhone (iOS). After logging in with “gov.br”, it is possible to access information such as: National Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate; Digital National Vaccination Card; Result of laboratory tests of Covid-19; Medications dispensed. The application can also request access to your location to present nearby public health facilities and facilitate the scheduling of services. In addition to being considered an official document, the e-Título application presents data such as voting location, justification history, birth certificate, electoral discharge and electoral crimes. Here’s how to use it: Download the e-Title from the Play Store or App Store; Fill in your data and click on “Enter e-Title”; Confirm information that was passed to the Electoral Court when you issued the printed title – the app will ask for an address where you have lived, for example; Create a password and complete registration. Another access option is to use the QR Code present in some printed titles. In that case, just scan the code with your cell phone camera in the e-Título app and create a password. TSE e-Title application is available for Android and iOS Disclosure/TSE 7) Work and Social Security Card (CTPS) The physical work card is no longer issued to most Brazilians in 2019, as a measure to reduce queues and streamline public access to the document. Today, every person with a CPF automatically has a Digital Work Card. To access it on your cell phone, just download the Digital Work Card application on Android or iPhone (iOS) and log in with the “gov.br” account.
