Revenue pays refund of IR fine mesh this Tuesday – 02/28/2023 – Market

This Tuesday (28), the Federal Revenue paid the bank credit for the refund of the fine mesh of the IRPF (Individual Income Tax) to 179,065 taxpayers, in the total amount of R$ 250 million.

Of the total, R$ 150,578,569.86 refer to taxpayers who have legal priority, of which 4,256 are elderly over 80 years old, 30,651 taxpayers between 60 and 79 years old, 2,977 taxpayers with some physical or mental disability or serious illness and 10,146 taxpayers whose main source of income is teaching. A further 131,035 non-priority taxpayers were included.

Refund payment is made to the bank account informed in the income tax return, directly or by indication of a Pix key.

If, for some reason, the credit is not carried out (for example, the account informed has been deactivated), the amounts will be available for redemption for up to one year at Banco do Brasil.

In this case, the citizen can reschedule the credit of amounts through the BB portal, accessing the address or calling the BB Relationship Center through telephones 4004-0001 (capital cities), 0800-729-0001 (other locations) and 0800-729 -0088 (special telephone exclusively for the hearing impaired).

If the taxpayer does not redeem the amount of his refund within one year, he must request it through the e-CAC portal, available on the Federal Revenue website, accessing the “Declarations and Demonstratives” menu, then “My Income Tax ” and clicking on “Request refund not redeemed in network banking”.

Consultation of the residual lot has been open since the last 17th and can be done through the Revenue page on the internet (www.gov.br/receitafederal). The taxpayer must click on “My Income Tax” and then on “Check the Refund”.

The portal has guidelines and channels for providing the service that can help the taxpayer who wants to consult the lot. A simplified query or a complete query of the status of the declaration can be made through the processing extract, accessed in the e-CAC. If you identify any pendency in the declaration, the taxpayer can rectify the declaration.

There is also an application for tablets and smartphones that makes it possible to consult directly in the Federal Revenue databases information on the release of IRPF refunds and the registration status of an enrollment in the CPF.
