Bank credit

Credit for 354,509 taxpayers will be made on October 31st

Consultation on the residual batch of Personal Income Tax (IRPF) refunds for October this year can be made this Tuesday (24), from 10 am. Bank credit for 354,509 taxpayers will be made on October 31st, for a total amount of R$643,259,756.29. The information is from the Federal Revenue.

To find out if the refund is available, the taxpayer must access the agency’s website, click on “My Income Tax” and then on “Consult the Refund”.

Of the total amount, R$427,280,878.46 refers to the number of taxpayers who have priority, with 6,106 elderly taxpayers over 80 years of age; 54,438 taxpayers between 60 and 79 years old; 6,491 taxpayers with some physical or mental disability or serious illness; 16,874 taxpayers whose largest source of income is teaching and, finally, 119,040 taxpayers who do not have legal priority, but who received priority because they used the pre-filled declaration or chose to receive the refund via PIX. A total of 151,560 non-priority taxpayers were also covered.

The refund will be deposited into the bank account informed in the Income Tax Declaration, directly or by indicating a PIX key. If, for any reason, the credit is not made, as in the case of a deactivated account, the amounts will be available for redemption for up to 1 year at Banco do Brasil.

In this case, the citizen can reschedule the credit of amounts simply and quickly through the BB Portal or by calling the BB Relationship Center via telephone numbers 4004-0001 (capitals), 0800-729-0001 (other locations) and 0800- 729-0088 (special telephone number exclusively for the hearing impaired).

If the taxpayer does not withdraw the amount of their refund within 1 year, they must request it through the e-CAC Portal, available on the Federal Revenue website, accessing the menu Declarations and Statements My Income Tax and clicking on “Request refund not redeemed in the banking network”.

Understand

The IRPF 2023 regular batch schedule has already been fulfilled, with the payment of the fifth and final batch made in September 2023. On the other hand, the residual refund batches are paid after the end of the regular batches and are intended for refunds that were processed later, due to rectifications or other corrections to the declaration.
