Until 8 pm on April 24, the Federal Revenue receives bids for jewelry seized at Guarulhos airport, in Greater São Paulo. Gold chains and precious stones will be at the auction, which will only receive proposals from legal entities.

The 14 lots of jewels are not available for visits for security reasons, given that the goods are small and have a high added value. According to the Revenue, the authenticity of precious stones and metals is certified by an expert.

The cheapest lot accepts a minimum bid of BRL 60,000 and has two pure gold chains – one weighing 621.2 grams and the other weighing 373.9 grams. According to the most recent gold quotation on the B3, a gram of the material is worth R$ 314.99.

In addition to gold chains, the volumes to be auctioned contain undilapidated diamonds, apatites, rubellites and emeralds.

The rough diamonds are part of a set with two gold chains that together weigh 1.43 kilograms, with an initial bid of R$ 100,000.

The lot with the apatites, rubellites and emeralds has 1.74 kilograms of gold chains, and accepts offers from R$ 110,000.

There is yet another set with silver chains and buckles made with an alloy of 92.46% gold, 7.18% silver and 0.36% other metals, with a minimum bid of BRL 80,000. This batch weighs a total of 1.46 kilograms.

The auctioned goods were seized in the baggage sector of the Guarulhos airport, but the details of the seizure are protected by tax secrecy.

Interested legal entities can access the complete announcement and see the items of each of the 14 lots in the Electronic Revenue Auction System. The auction is registered under number 0817600/000002/2023, and offers must be registered by the platform.

The highest bids will be announced at 10:00 am on April 25th and will be classified to compete in the trading session, starting at 11:00 am. According to the Revenue, the results will be released at 12:00 on the same day.

Whoever buys the goods must pick them up at the Forfeiture Warehouse, located on the left side of Terminal 1 at Guarulhos airport, on Hélio Smidt Highway.
