Real Madrid considers that signing Mbappe is impossible

Kylian Mbappé will not be a Real Madrid player in the 2023/2024 season. At least, that’s what the board of the Spanish club understands, which classifies the hiring of the French star as “impossible” in the current transfer window.
According to the Spanish newspaper Brand, the big obstacle in the negotiations is Mbappé’s desire to receive as much money as possible. His contract with Paris Saint-Germain runs until the end of the current season and the striker has already announced that he does not plan to activate the clause that would renew his bond with the French team until 2025.
As a result, should the 24-year-old remain at the French team for another year, he could freely leave for another club at the end of the season and would be able to negotiate his transfer fees directly with the team that signed him. In addition, he would receive for another year the high salary and bonus that the Parisian team offers him.
Another option would be for Real Madrid to buy Mbappé in the current season. For PSG, it would be a way to ensure that the Frenchman’s departure does not occur without any financial compensation. The Spanish club, however, was not prepared for such an opportunity and understands that the transfer will not take place in the current window.
According to the sports program “El Chiringuito”, from Spanish TV, the Madrid club would accept to pay up to 250 million euros in the current season, but would have to transfer 100 million to the player to close the deal. This amount is estimated as the figure that Mbappé still has to receive from PSG until the end of his contract in 2024.
Fearing losing the Frenchman for free, PSG is already working with the possibility of selling the star if he does not sign a new contract. With Real Madrid out of the auction, clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are pointed out as possible destinations for Mbappé.
