The Esfera Brasil group will put on the same stage, this Monday morning (15), the rapporteur of the Fake News Bill in the Chamber, deputy Orlando Silva (PCdoB-SP), and the CEO of Google in Brazil, Fábio Coelho , to discuss digital media in the country. It will be during a panel at the event “Brasil Hoje”, which discusses topics such as the environment, infrastructure, politics, among others.

The discussion on the panel on Digital Media will also have the presence of Paulo Pimenta, Minister of the Social Communication Secretariat, and Senator Angelo Coronel (PSD-BA), and takes place in the week in which the Chamber of Deputies can proceed with the procedure of the project after two weeks of postponement.

The postponement of the vote on the urgency request was a defeat for the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), and it was left in a waiting state until the return of the mayor, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), from an official trip to the United States to participate in events.

Lira is in favor of the Fake News PL, and was trying to sew agreements with the government base for the project to be voted on two weeks ago. However, the last minute meetings did not have enough effect to give the government confidence that the project would be approved and the project was withdrawn from the agenda at the request of the rapporteur himself.
