The senator Randolfe Rodrigues, announced this Friday, the 29th, the release of resources allocated, through a parliamentary amendment, to social assistance in five municipalities in the state. The amounts will be used to fund social programs and purchase equipment and vehicles.
The municipality of Cutias do Araguari received R$325,000 for funding; Itaubal, R$225 thousand for equipment; Oiapoque received an additional R$1.1 million for equipment and vehicles; Santana received an additional R$3 million for funding, equipment and vehicle acquisition; and Tartarugalzinho, R$225 thousand for equipment.
Randolfe also announced the commitment of R$7.2 million for social assistance from the government of Amapá.
The senator Randolfe stated that all the work was done in conjunction with the municipal social assistance departments, mayors and the state government. “We thank everyone who committed and worked with us. Strengthening social assistance in municipalities is crucial to promote inclusion, reduce inequalities and face local socioeconomic challenges, ensuring support for those who need it. In this year 2023 we work on this strengthening because we know the needs of our population”he stated.
