Coach Ramon Menezes rehearsed for the first time this Tuesday (21) the team that he should send to the field on Saturday, at 7 pm, in a friendly against Morocco. The reformulated Brazilian team returns to the field after falling in the quarterfinals of the World Cup with seven remaining from Qatar in the starting lineup. Two key players in winning the U-20 South American Championship in Colombia, Andrey and Vitor Roque were the newcomers, alongside Emerson Royal on the right and Ibañez on defense.
Of the starters used by Tite in the Cup, three players appeared among the starters: the experienced midfielder Casemiro, the midfielder Lucas Paquetá, and the young striker Vini Jr. The other four who were in Qatar and are among Ramon’s choices were reserves. He started his activities in Tangier with Ederson in goal, Alex Telles on the left wing, Eder Militão in defense – he broke the wing branch in the Cup with Danilo’s injury – and Rodrygo in attack.
Also on reserve with Tite, striker Antony, from Manchester United, gained a chance during the activities, replacing Rodrygo. In the same way as Palmeiras Weverton and Raphael Veiga.
A little shy, young right-back Arthur, only 20 years old and also one of the champions in the South American Under-20 Championship, was the last to arrive in Morocco. The boy performed this Tuesday afternoon in Tangier, before the day’s activities, to complete the Brazilian squad.
The team sent to the field by Ramon Menezes was Ederson (Weverton); Emerson Royal, Ibañez, Eder Militão and Alex Telles; Casemiro, Andrey and Lucas Paquetá (Raphael Veiga); Rodrygo (Antony), Vini Júnior and Vítor Roque.
The coach still works for three more days to decide who will send him to the field on Saturday, against the fourth placed and sensation of the World Cup, in the Grand Stade of Tangier. This should be Ramon’s only game in the main Brazilian team, as the CBF wants to close with a replacement for Tite soon.
