PT estimates collection of up to BRL 1 million on anniversary – 02/15/2023 – Power

The PT summit estimates that it raised between R$800,000 and R$1 million from the sale of invitations to the party’s 43rd anniversary celebration dinner, held in Brasília this Tuesday (14th).

The event was organized by the legend’s treasurer, Gleide Andrade. Tickets were available at R$500, R$5,000, R$10,000 and R$20,000.

Initially, the acronym provided for the sale of 300 invitations. With the donations in the last week, including a few hours before dinner, it is estimated that around 700 people have bought tickets for the ceremony.

A Sheet paid R$500 for the invitation to access the party’s anniversary event.

The balance of contributions should only be officially released this Wednesday (15) or Thursday (16). The resources, according to members of the PT summit, will be applied in political formation actions, in addition to paying off a remaining part of the electoral campaign and also investing in the party’s communication.

“The PT has always worked in this line of self-financing. We only stopped during the pandemic. But we always have this fundraising dinner on the anniversary, in addition to other events. We are going to invest in the political training of new affiliates, of party leaders”, said Gleide.

Ministers, parliamentarians allied with the party and members of the PT summit attended the event. Fernando Haddad (Farm) arrived after speeches by Gleisi Hoffmann (PT-PR) and Gleide. He stayed a short time at dinner.

Besides him, Alexandre Padilha (Secretary of Institutional Relations), Paulo Pimenta (Secretary of Communication) and Luiz Marinho (Labor) were also present.

Among the members of the Legislative at the event were the leader of the government in the Chamber, José Guimarães (PT-CE), and the leader of the government in Congress, Senator Randolfe Rodrigues (Rede-AP). Another participant at the dinner was former PT deputy João Paulo Cunha, arrested in the monthly allowance.

On Monday (13), President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) encouraged donations in a speech at the party’s anniversary party, when he renewed the authorization for payroll deduction of his monthly contribution to the party – called Sace ( Statutory Contribution Collection System).

Lula has been collaborating since the foundation of the legend. The salary percentage will still be calculated by the party’s Finance Secretariat, and the amount will be deducted from your income as Chief Executive.

During the party, sparkling wines, whiskey, gin, beer and juices were served. As a starter, the menu included pastries, croquettes and dumplings. For dinner, salad, fried chicken and filet mignon were offered to those present.
