State deputy Mauro Rubem (PT-GO) has been identified as one of the participants in an event in Goiânia (GO), last Monday (30), where protesters set fire to Israeli and United States flags. The information was released by federal deputy Gustavo Gayer (PL-GO), this Wednesday (1st).
In a video released by the parliamentarian, it is possible to hear one of the protesters referring to the “hateful” American and Israeli flags as “imperialist” and “genocidal” symbols. “Flags that signify the oppression of all the people of the world,” said the speaker, “the burning of the flag is an act of Palestinian resistance.”
In the video images, people still appear holding a flag of the Popular Socialist Unity (UP), which is considered an extreme left-wing group. Gayer also mentioned that there are records of the appearance of the federal highway police officer, Fabrício Rosa, who is part of the National Council of Anti-Fascist Police and openly defends the decriminalization of marijuana in Brazil.
“It is a shame for our country that Goiânia is on the list of cities where this type of defense of the indefensible took place. And what a shame it is for a state deputy from Goiás, a representative of the people of Goiás, to be part of this. Of course, PT member as it is, I couldn’t do it differently, after all, this same parliamentarian supports the Brazilian terrorist group known as MST”, said Gayer.
A People’s Gazette tried to contact deputy Mauro Rubem, via email and WhatsApp, but has not yet received a response.
