One of the deputy leaders of the PT in the Chamber, Deputy Delegate Adriana Accorsi (GO) criticized President Lula’s (PT) vetoes in the Civil Police’s organic law in a bench group.
On the 24th, the president sanctioned the rule, but vetoed a series of rights that were present in the text approved by the National Congress, including the provision for full retirement, paid leave and some compensation.
For her party colleagues, the parliamentarian stated that the government is “taking a lot” because of the vetoes. “Unfortunately we were unable to reverse it.” The statements came at a time when deputies expressed concern about the Executive’s assessment.
To the Panel, Accorsi says that his “loyalty and trust” in President Lula “are unshakable”, that he supports and collaborates with the Executive, but that as a civil police officer he understands that the organic law is a “construction that has been carried out for many years” .
“And finally with the support of the government, of minister Flávio Dino, of minister Alexandre Padilha, we were able to prepare a proposal that we managed to reach a general agreement in the country, with all entities, with all civil police officers and also with deputies and senators “, it says.
She assesses that it is possible to review the vetoes and says that this topic “may have been wrongly advised to the president”.
“We are talking about this and I believe that the president has the sensitivity to talk about this possibility”, he adds.
