PT councilor congratulates Ricardo Nunes for management in SP – 08/04/2023 – Panel

PT councilor Alessandro Guedes congratulated the mayor of São Paulo, Ricardo Nunes (MDB), for his management and said that he can count on his support, in addition to calling him a friend.

The caresses were made during an event with residents of São Mateus, on the east side of the capital, on Friday night (4).

The statements were given on the eve of the PT congress that should confirm the party’s support for the candidacy of federal deputy Guilherme Boulos (PSOL) for mayor next year. His main opponent will be Nunes, who will seek re-election.

“Congratulations on your management, with sincerity and affection,” Guedes told the mayor at the event, while Nunes shook his head in thanks.

“I don’t know what problems I’ll have after a speech like that, but I’m aware and I’m able to defend what I’m saying. Because the problems I bring up have been taken care of”, continued Guedes, who sat down next to Nunes on the stage reserved for the authorities.

The petista still praised the fact that the city hall has invested in the neighborhood, which is in a peripheral region. “Public resources have come in a large volume. It is not enough, but it is an unprecedented act,” he said. Guedes even referred to Nunes as a friend since the emedebista was a councilor.

At another time, he told the mayor: “Count on our support there, under our conditions”.

The statements show the divisions in the PT in São Paulo, which did not unanimously embark on the Boulos candidacy. There are fears that the party will shrink in the city because it does not have a ticket leader.
