On May 24, the final report of the commission will be presented

Manaus (AM) – Accompanying the progress of the work of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) of Águas de Manaus in recent months, when it accepted the request for the installation of the CPI made by 18 councilors, the president of the Manaus City Council (CMM), councilor Caio André (PSC ), ensured that the members of the Commission had an adequate physical structure and personnel to hold meetings for document analysis, hearings, diligences and public hearing, valuing the transparency of the process.

Even though he did not act directly on the Commission, Caio André provided all the necessary structure for the execution of the work of the CPI.

“As president of the House, I and the entire board are providing the full structure so that the Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry can reach the final objective, which is now scheduled for next week, the 24th (of May)”, said the president of the CMM .

The president of the CMM emphasized the work carried out by the members of the Commission over the last two months and stated that the result will bring benefits to the population.

“From what we have already ascertained (the CPI) will bring great results, unprecedented gains for the population of the city of Manaus, including a decrease in the percentage of the amount to be implemented for the population that uses the sewage system”, highlighted Caio André.

Upcoming activities

In addition to delivering the final investigation report to be delivered next week, the members of the CPI of Águas de Manaus defined, in a meeting held at the CMM on Wednesday afternoon (05/15), that on May 24 presented the final report of the commission; and on May 25, the Management Adjustment Term (TAG) will be signed, which will provide more transparency in the provision of services, as well as savings for the population.

According to the president of the CPI, councilor Diego Afonso (União Brasil), in the last two weeks the commission has been holding work meetings to discuss the line of the report, in addition to the Term of Adjustment, which will be one of the biggest gains of the commission.

“TAG is an instrument that subjugates Ageman (Regulatory Agency for Delegated Public Services of Manaus) and Manaus City Hall. It was decided to sign the TAG for the next working meeting, in which we will also approve the report presented by the rapporteur. Next, we will present to the population the items contained in the TAG. I see with great enthusiasm the achievements we are achieving, and the population can expect great results, ”he said.
