Police identify seven suspects of aggression against Luan, Corinthians player – 07/04/2023 – Sport

The Civil Police have already identified seven suspects of having invaded a motel in Barra Funda, west of the capital, and attacked striker Luan, from Corinthians. The incident took place in the early hours of this Tuesday (4).

According to delegate Daniel José Orsomarzo, the identifications were carried out through photos and videos published on social networks.

One of the images was taken inside a snack bar in downtown São Paulo. In the photo, you can see seven people with their faces uncovered. The author of the publication wrote: target successfully found.

The suspicion is that some of the suspects are part of the board of one of the organized clubs of the alvinegro club.

Until around 3 pm, the athlete had not appeared at a police station to file a police report. By law, Luan has a period of six months to make representations against his aggressors.

Investigators have already gone to the motel and requested images that can also contribute to the investigation.

By the end of the morning, Corinthians’ advisors claimed they had not been able to get in touch with Luan or his manager, Paulo Pitombeira. The board released a note regretting the episode.

Hired in 2019 by Corinthians for almost BRL 29 million, the player became the center of controversy because of his high salary (about BRL 800,000 a month) and poor performance. He has not been used since last year and was even loaned to Santos, which was in charge of paying only R$ 100,000 from the athlete’s salaries, while the club from Parque São Jorge took the rest.

In a recent interview with former player Denílson’s podcast, Luan said he was ready to play and that he had asked for opportunities for Vítor Pereira (coach in 2022) and Vanderlei Luxemburgo (the current one), without being answered.

For months, Duilio Monteiro Alves has been trying to find a solution for Luan’s situation, but, he says, Corinthians does not have the money to pay for the termination that the group of fans tried this morning to achieve on the basis of violence.
