Podcast: siege of Bolsonaro’s coup after testimony – 04/27/2023 – Podcasts

A technological mistake caused by the effect of medication on leaving a hospital was the justification presented by Jair Bolsonaro (PL) for publishing a coup-like video on social networks two days after the attacks on the headquarters of the Three Powers.

It was presented in a statement by the former president this Wednesday (26) to the Federal Police, within the scope of an investigation investigating the 8th of January. Suspected of the crime of incitement, Bolsonaro is the target of the front that investigates the intellectual mentors of the attacks — others target those responsible for the vandalism, financiers and authorities who failed to take action.

Since the former president returned to Brazil from a season in the US, this was the second time he appeared before the PF to be heard. Bolsonaro is still the target of other actions, especially in the Electoral Court, in which his long history of coup statements also fuels the work of the prosecution – against this background, the defense’s claim this Wednesday became a meme on social networks.

Also this Wednesday, Congress installed a mixed CPI that should also investigate the offensive against democracy. The government articulates to maintain central positions of the commission, in an attempt to make the ex-president a target of the works.
