Players’ union denounces Mbappé’s departure: “moral harassment”

The union of professional soccer players in France (UNFP) came out in defense this Saturday Kylian Mbappewho was ruled out of pre-season Paris Saint-Germain Japan as a measure of strength for refusing to renew, and recalled that pressuring a player to extend his commitment to a club could be considered “moral harassment”.

“All players must benefit from the same working conditions as the rest of the professional staff”, added the union, which recalled the case of other PSG players in a similar situation to that of Mbappé, such as Leandro Paredes, Georginio Wijnaldum and Keylor Navas.

PSG coach Luis Enrique yesterday presented a list of 29 players without Mbappé, following the club’s decision not to include him on a trip that started this Saturday and will make stops in the Japanese cities of Osaka and Tokyo.

PSG believe in Mbappe’s deal with Real Madrid

According to the newspaper “L’Equipe”, PSG believes that Mbappé, whose contract ends in 2024, currently has an agreement with Real Madrid to leave at the end of next season and has also internally announced its decision not to exercise the option to renew his contract for one year.

With this decision, Mbappé would not leave a single euro in the coffers of the Parisian club, which, by leaving him off the pre-season list, puts pressure on his player to provoke his departure in this window, with the aim of receiving an amount for his transfer.

Mbappé, just this Friday, participated in PSG’s friendly against Le Havre at the training center. He was a substitute, but came on in the second half to score one of the goals in the 2-0 victory.

Shortly afterwards, the star was left out of the squad for the Asian tour, which included names like Neymar, Marco Asensio and even his brother, Ethan Mbappé.
