This week, the BC predicted that PIX could be used for new purposes in the future, such as paying tolls, parking and public transport. “The use of new technologies that make the payment experience even faster can be beneficial mainly in some specific use cases, such as paying for tolls on highways, parking lots and public transport”, says the Central Bank. The Central Bank also reaffirmed that PIX may be used, in the future, for international operations, enabling remittances, payments between companies and payments for purchases of goods and services abroad.
